Revelation 13:5 And the beast (the anti-christ) was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months (3 1/2years). 6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. 11 Then I saw another beast (the false prophet) rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb (It looked like a messiah) and it spoke like a dragon…(only those knowing the Word of God will perceive this)
12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.
13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
***For those Christians who hold to the lofty ideals of the Seven Mountain Mandate^- who plan on “taking dominion“ over the seven spheres of influence in the earth, until the return of Christ…
vs 7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. It makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.
(Will those “spheres of influence”, which you strive for, and hold so fast to, not keep you from holding on to…or even recognizing Christ, when He comes like a thief in the night? - Luke 17:20-37).
***For those Christians who place more emphasis on signs and wonders than the Word of God; for those pastors and leaders who have openly stated that the teachings of the Bible are secondary to the “worship experience”…
vs 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth,
(If your primary vision is signs, wonders and “new revelation”, how will you escape this deception?)
vs 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear:
10 If anyone is to be taken captive,
to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.
Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.
Whether pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib, I am not qualified to say. What I know is that large parts of the Church are being primed for deception. They will not recognize anti-christ because they do not know the true Christ. Now is the time…to seek the Lord while He may be found…while we have the freedom to openly teach and study the Bible unhindered. Repent, before it is too late.
^The seven mountain mandate: This ideal comes from dominion theology, which became popular in the early 1970s. Among its lead proponents are pastor Bill Johnson & Lance Wallnau, who co-authored the book: Invading Babylon - The 7 Mountain Mandate.
